The generation plant was original, based on barber-colman controls and old genset controllers, all well past their operational life. Schematics were lost, and spare parts impossible to come by.
Our main goal was upgrade the generation plan using DEIF modules, automating all essential functions:
       - Synchronization
       - Power distribution
       - Engine startup and stop
       - Breaker commands

We organized our work in three separated stages.
On the first stage, we evaluated the problematic of the system, so we could better design the electrical plans and upgrade system using DEIF AGC-150 control modules.
As second stage, all the wiring and installation of the new modules was done without interrupting the service or power plant availability.
Finally, we removed the old modules and commissioned the new ones. This stage was done during bus-bar modifications in an 8hs period during the night.
